Rhine mussels

Ingredients

  • 4 kilogram mussels in shells
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 stalk leek
  • 2 onions
  • 0,25 celery
  • 2 liter white wine
  • 10 peppercorns
  • salt
  • 4 small baguette or 4 slices of black bread
  • butter

Preparation method (receipt)

Peeled carrots, celery, onions and dice the leek, boil in a pot with peppercorns for 5 minutes, add salt, white wine,and mussels, boil for another 5 minutes. Threw away unopened mussels, serve mussels with a baguette of black bread and butter.
