The pretzels


  • 500 grams flour
  • 300 milliliters milk

  • 1 yeast cube
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 40 grams margarine, butter or lard

Preparation method (receipt)

Dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar and leave for 15 minutes. Mix with the remaining ingredients (except the coarse salt) to approach and leave for 30 minutes in a warm place. Put the dough on a floured board and divide by 16 - 18 parts, each of which roll into a \"sausage\" 30 centimeters long. Form pretzels, give them up for 15 minutes and remove the 1 hour in the refrigerator. Boil 3 liters of water with baking soda (to dissolve it thoroughly). Pretzels slightly lowered in boiling water for one to 30 minutes. Spread on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 220 degrees Celsius about 18-20 minutes.
