Red cabbage with port-wine


  • 1.2 kilogram shredded red cabbage
  • 1 lemon
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 250 milliliters dry red wine
  • 250 milliliters port-wine
  • 100 grams goose fat
  • 2 onions
  • 30 grams honey (acacia)
  • 3 orange
  • 100 grams cranberries
  • 1 apple

Preparation method (receipt)

Salt red cabbage, sprinkle with lemon juice and stir. Melt the sugar until light golden brown, pour the vinegar, red wine and port. Passages in goose fat chopped onion, add the honey and wine mixture, season with salt and pepper, add the red cabbage, cranberries and sliced apples, simmer on low heat for 40-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
