Potato salad Berlin style


  • 250 grams potatoes
  • 0.5 teaspoons medium-spicy mustard
  • 0,5 teaspoons sugar
  • 25 milliliters cucumber pickle
  • 12 milliliters white wine vinegar
  • 25 milliliters vegetable oil
  • 0.25 apple
  • 1 pickled medium size cucumber
  • 0,25 large onion
  • 0.25 clove of garlic (optional)
  • 0.25 bunch of green onions or chive
  • salt and pepper
  • cumin

Preparation method (receipt)

Boil potatoes in their jackets in 1 liter of salted water with caraway seeds to taste. Merge water, peel potatoes and slice them into pieces while still warm. While potatoes boiling, add mustard, sugar, cucumber pickle, wine vinegar, vegetable oil, salt, black pepper, chopped onion and garlic in large waterproof container. Shak up energetically to make an emulsion - \"vinaigrette\" dressing. Julienne peeled apple, slice pickled cucumber, potatoes cut into large circles. Mix carefully apple, cucumber and potatoes with \"vinaigrette\" dressing, let it draw for 3-4 hours, shuffle again, salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with green onion and chive before serving.
