"Pork hooves"


  • 1 kilogram salted pork legs
  • 500 grams sauerkraut
  • 50 grams lard
  • 3 juniper berries
  • 2 onions
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 sour apple
  • 125 grams pineapple
  • 1 cup of dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 500 grams dry green peas
  • 1 liter water
  • 1 bunch of soup greens
  • salt
  • pepper
  • butter

Preparation method (receipt)

Soak peas in water overnight, boil for 1.5 hours, add the soup greens, cook for another 30 minutes, wipe with pea puree through a sieve. Pour the washed feet 0.5 liters of water and cook for 45 minutes, add the unwashed sauerkraut, shredded onions, peeled and sliced apples, cook another 45 minutes. Remove the pork, add the cubes of pineapple, sugar, wine, bring to a boil, add salt and pepper. Heat pea puree. Serve with melted butter.
