Metaxa sauce


  • 1 onion
  • 100 grams sweet red pepper
  • olive oil
  • 100 milliliters white wine
  • 100 milliliters broth
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 40 grams tomato paste
  • 40 milliliters Metaxa
  • paprika powder

Preparation method (receipt)

Cut onions and peppers into cubes and fry gently until softened in olive oil, add the white wine and broth, bring to a boil, add salt and pepper to taste, season with paprika. Add the cream and tomato paste, cook on low heat for 30 minutes. 10 minutes before end of cooking pour Metaxa.
