Herring in cream sauce


  • 8 light-salted herring fillet
  • 1 pickled cucumber
  • 1 onion
  • 250 milliliters cream
  • 250 milliliters buttermilk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar with herbs
  • parsley
  • basil

Preparation method (receipt)

If the herring is too salt, soak in the water, then dry and slice finely. Cut onion into rings, cut cucumber into circles, place into a bowl with herring. Whisk the cream until stable peaks, mix with buttermilk, salt, vinegar, sugar and pepper, pour the marinade over the herring and put in the fridge for an hour.
