Bavarian cabbage salad with shpik


  • 750 grams white cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams bacon
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 125 milliliters vegetable broth
  • 0,5 tablespoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon spicy mustard
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • pepper

Preparation method (receipt)

Wash and finely chop the cabbage. Cut into small pieces bacon and fry over low heat to heated with oil (not browning). Grind the onion, saute until transparent. Pour in the broth to the onions and vinegar, bring to a boil, add the cumin, mustard and oil. Pour the hot marinade cabbage and leave for 3 hours at room temperature before serving with salt.
